When 90-year-old, Stanley Full took on a 12,000ft skydive in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) back in April 2018 – raising over £2,600! – you could be forgiven for thinking his extreme sport days were now behind him; think again.
Fast forward to July 2019, Stanley now has his sights set on the world’s fastest zip wire: Velocity Zip Line at Zipworld, where participants can expect to reach speeds of up to 100mph.
Accompanying Stanley on his latest venture, is Melissa Tucker, the instructor of his over 60’s exercise class. Melissa was inspired by Stanley’s skydive back in 2018, and wanted to join him in raising as much money for HIOWAA as possible.
Community Engagement Manager at HIOWAA, Ian Browning, said:
“Stanley continues to amaze everyone here at HIOWAA. If skydiving at 90-years-old wasn’t enough, he has once again shown what a brave and dedicated man he is with this latest challenge. With the support from Stanley and Melissa, we can continue to provide the community with our life-saving service, which we cannot thank them enough for. Good luck, Stanley and Melissa!”
