10 Year Donation Anniversary With ExxonMobil Fawley

On the 23rd October 2009, HIOWAA received a donation of £40 from ExxonMobil Fawley. Exactly 10 years to the day, that total now stands at an incredible £32,687.

The team at ExxonMobil Fawley have raised the money through various schemes, including the site’s employee safety recognition awards. These allow staff who have shown outstanding safety behaviours in the workplace to nominate a charity to receive a cash donation on their behalf.

As well as helping to keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives, the money raised has also helped to fund programmes such as LifeLines; the Charity’s popular education programme for 11-18-year-olds.

ExxonMobil Fawley Community Affairs Adviser, Angharad Vaughan, said:

“ExxonMobil Fawley is proud to have been supporting HIOWAA for the last 10 years. The service provides a vital lifeline to the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, often in their time of greatest need. We are delighted that our support over the last decade has helped HIOWAA to provide Critical Care to those who need it, saving countless lives in the process and making a difference to so many people. We would also like to pay tribute to the dedicated HIOWAA staff and volunteers who do so much. They truly are an inspiration.”

HIOWAA Partnerships Manager, Ray Southam, commented:

“The relationship we have built with ExxonMobil over the past 10 years has done so much for our charity, and they have raised a staggering amount of money. We cannot thank them enough and look forward to what the future holds.”
