£3,784 raised at Coomers’ muddy charity challenge

The sun is shining on an autumn Sunday, do you: take the dog for a breezy walk? Set up camp in a pub garden? Crunch some leaves in the local park? For a team of brave souls from Coomers, those suggestions are a long way from reality.

On Sunday 5 September 2021, a team of 20 – made up of Coomers staff and their friends and family – took on a challenging 7km obstacle course which included hill slides, rope swings, balancing, tunnels and cargo nets, with lots of mud and water thrown in for good measure. All in aid of their charity of the year: us!

Teresa from Coomers Head Office commented:

“It was incredible. I was, admittedly, woefully unprepared for the sheer number of obstacles, the size of the course and the god-awful smell of the mud! Three hours later and a truly bewildering number of scratches and bruises we all made it. And despite all of that, the sun was shining, the team was bonding, and would I do it again? Yes. It was 7km full of laughs, climbing, sliding, trips, mud, and more mud!”

Huge thanks to everyone who participated and sponsored the team to help raise an incredible £3,784. Your support is helping to keep us flying and saving lives.
