At Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA), we carry many vital pieces of equipment, including units of blood and plasma on our Aircraft and in our Critical Care Team Vehicles.
For this, we rely on the crucial help of SERV Wessex – The Blood Runners; a team of volunteers who provide us with a free service to replenish our stock when it has been used by our Crews.
Our friends at SERV Wessex – The Blood Runners, now need YOUR help.
They have been selected for the Bags for Help Centenary Grant, and could be the potential lucky winners of a grant worth up to £25,000. To be in with a chance of winning the cash award, they need to be the Charity to secure the most votes.
Voting will be open from October, through to December, so the next time you are in your local Tesco store, be sure to keep an eye out for SERV Wessex – The Blood Runners, and give them your vote to keep their service, and ours, the best it can be for you!
