Beach Dubbin 2019

Wednesday 7th August

On Sunday 4th August, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) were delighted to attend Beach Dubbin on Southsea Common.

Now in its second year, the event was brimming with Volkswagen enthusiasts showing off their prized possessions, with a whole host of activities and stalls to keep all ages of the family entertained.

Throughout the day, guests experienced HIOWAA’s virtual simulator, allowing them to become the next fleet of pilots, doctors and paramedics for the life-saving Charity.

Community Campaigns Fundraiser for HIOWAA, Evie Wragg, was at the event and said:

“The whole team had such a lovely day and there was an amazing atmosphere throughout. Thank you to everyone who came to visit us and experience the virtual tour to find out more about HIOWAA and the work we do. Fingers crossed we get to do it all again next year!”

So far this year, the total is a fantastic £697.11!

Last year, the Air Ambulance had to land at the event to attend an emergency call. Since then, the Beach Dubbin team donated a cheque of £2,000 and chose to support HIOWAA at this year’s event.
