Last Thursday (20th June), Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) teamed up with Italian fashion brand Solo Mia for a unique event where “real models” took to the catwalk and raised a fantastic £2,374 for HIOWAA.
Hosted in the beautiful setting of Penton Park, the models that took part all hold a personal connection to HIOWAA with members of staff, volunteers and even ex-patients taking part, making the evening that much more special.
One HIOWAA volunteer, Jean Coleman, who braved the catwalk told us:
“It was really nice to see everyone transformed. I loved having my hair and make-up done and the event reaffirmed why I am so passionate about volunteering for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.”
Jean, who has been volunteering with the Charity for two years added: “I was so proud to be there for such a special night.”
