Last weekend (Saturday 1st June) saw The Ashley Herring Annual Ride Out take place in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA).
The annual charity ride out takes place on the first Saturday in June and is in memory of Ashley Herring, a young man who sadly lost his life in 2017 after a collision involving his motorcycle.
The 31-mile route welcomed motorbikes, cars, trucks and vans and set off from Newbury Retail Park, taking riders through Penwood, out to Hungerford, before heading back to the retail park.
Fundraising included a charity raffle, with prizes donated from local businesses and along with donations on the evening they raised an incredible £1,025!
Community Campaigns Fundraiser for HIOWAA, Evie Wragg, who attended the ride out, commented:
“It’s always amazing to see a community come together to fundraise and support us and we are incredibly grateful for the efforts of all involved. Every penny raised from the ride out will go towards championing our service and ensuring we are there for those who need us.”
