On Friday 24th May we welcomed Barratt Homes to our Airbase to say thank you to their team.
As part of their ongoing community work, Barratt Homes donate £1,000 a month to a local cause and this month Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was the chosen beneficiary.
Their generous donation will be used to purchase a specialist blood cooling box: a vital piece of kit which allows us to store and transport blood and plasma for up to 72 hours.
As part of their visit the team from Barratt Homes were given a demonstration of our fully immersive simulation suite and the chance to see the Air Ambulance up close.
Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA), Matthew Bennett, who met the group on the day, said:
“We are extremely grateful to Barratt Homes for choosing to support HIOWAA. Their donation will allow us to buy another piece of highly specialised kit, vital to us to providing Critical Care in our community. Thank you Barratt Homes!”
