Setting off to brave the winter chill, friends and family members came together for a 10km walk in honour of a Pennington resident John Scott.
We were called out to attend to John after a fire broke out at his bungalow in October. Sadly, John died on the scene as a result of his injuries.
John’s loved ones, including his daughter Lucy and granddaughter Alice, wanted to celebrate his life and thank the emergency services who attended to him that day.
After setting out from The Ferryman in Undershore Road, Lymington, the group of walkers visited East End and Norley Wood before returning to the pub.
The group have so far raised a fantastic £1,600, and it’s not too late to support them. You can still donate via their JustGiving page.
A massive thank you to everyone who organised and took part in this special walk. And, on behalf of everyone at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, our deepest condolences to John’s friends and family.
